Induction bonding

Since the early 1980s, ENRX have been at the forefront of developing induction bonding solutions.

Introduction

Induction bonding uses induction heating to cure bonding adhesives. It is the main method for curing adhesives and sealants for car components, and also cures the adhesives in composite-to-metal and carbon fibre-to-carbon-fibre joints. Spot-bonding heats small segments of the materials to be joined, and full-ring bonding heats complete joints.

  • Precise energy inputs for each panel with spot bonding systems
  • Small heat affected zones minimise total panel elongation
  • Little need for spare coils with a one-size-fits-all coil for full-ring bonding
