Amidst an abundance of flowers, food and festive colours, the opening ceremony of the new ENRX plant in Zhuhai was a vibrant celebration, attended by many distinguished guests, including the Norwegian ambassador, along with key partners and ENRX team members.

CEO of ENRX, Bjørn Eldar Petersen, was pleased and proud to give the opening speech at the ceremony.

“This represents a significant milestone for ENRX, not only in China but globally, as we celebrate progress, partnership, and a shared vision for a sustainable future,” he said. “Our new facility here holds a great standard and has huge growth potential. This event and the premises are a testament to the great work done by the Chinese team, whose dedication and effort have helped bring this vision to life.”

Strategic location

Located in the Zhuhai National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, the new plant is strategically positioned to support ENRX’s growth across Asia. Being within the dynamic Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Greater Bay Area ensures access to a strong industrial infrastructure and a thriving business environment.

Qin Song—Managing Director of ENRX China and President of ENRX Asia—emphasised the advantages: “This location serves as the 'golden passage' of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, offering direct access to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Macao within just one hour,” he said. “The Zhuhai High-Tech Zone is emerging as an Asian Silicon Valley, fostering integrated circuits and new energy industry clusters—perfectly aligning with our smart, green, and eco-friendly products."

Secretary General Lv Dongxian from the China Heat Treatment Industry Association welcomed ENRX to the city: “We look forward to ENRX leveraging its Zhuhai base as a pivotal hub to advance its innovation-driven strategy, deepen localized research and development, and cultivate talent,” he said. “With cutting-edge technology and superior services, we believe ENRX will help elevate the industry to the high-end of the global value chain.”

Future growth and collaboration

ENRX has been present in China since 2001 and has steadily grown its footprint, now operating with 200 employees and generating annual revenues of 44 million euros in the country. The Zhuhai plant marks the company’s fourth site in China and solidifies its position as a leader in induction heating technology across multiple industries, including automotive, electrotechnical, wind power, appliances, HVAC, and tube & pipe manufacturing.

“Our success is built on collaboration, innovation, and a strong partnership with China, contributing to electrification, green energy, and economic growth,” the CEO remarked and thanked the local industrial park and city management that have been instrumental in the process of establishing the new plant.

"This facility not only increases our production capacity in China by 50% but also marks a new phase of collaboration between our teams in China and Norway," said Qin Song. "Moving forward, this site will enable mass production of standardised products while refining designs and driving continuous technological innovation."

The right energy

The participants at the event were treated to a tour of the plant where they got to see the machines and what they do. Ambassador Vebjørn Dysvik was truly impressed by ENRX’s green innovations and technologies.

“We diplomats find it hard to understand what is going on inside these machines,” he smiled. “But I find it remarkable how they are utilizing induction for everything from hardening, straightening and welding of metal to wireless charging and contactless power supply. With low or no carbon footprint, energy-efficiency, and for virtually any application within mobility and manufacturing!”

“Today, energy transition is at the center of the global drive to reach ambitious climate goals. We need sufficient energy, but we need greener, faster and more efficient energy,” the ambassador stressed. “Because of this, ENRX’s slogan couldn’t be timelier—the right energy can take you anywhere”. And for ENRX, green is right.”
